17/11/2008Erick was born at Windle Manor in Windlebridge, but being the second son, he had to look for a life and a career elsewhere, while his older brother Alarick inherited the estate and the title. Erick is a science sim and finished Windle College with excellent grades. He then choosed to join the Windle Garrison and aim for a career as an officer. This fall he moved in to an apartment in The Eagles Tower in the castle, where he is neighbor to his sister Maureen Hunter and his cousins Joanna Arrow and Mary Barry.
He now needed a wife. With the many social events at the Castle, he soon met Lady Harriet Stackhaus, a beautiful woman from a good family.

|
Lady Harriet was a little surprised by the proposal, but didn't hesitate. Even if Erick didn't have a title, yet, he was a Windleton, and a spitting image of his grandfather, the respected Sir Roderick. With his good connections and bright mind, she was convinced that he would have his own title, and maybe even an estate, one day. |

They got married in the Castle Chapel. Many prominent guests attended the ceremony.

Sir Alarick Windleton, brother of the groom, and Eileen Swann, sister of the groom.

Lord Ingvar was of course present. Erick Windleton is not only one of his good friends from college, but also one of the new young and upcoming generation of officers in the Garrison.
| 16/11/2008Sadly enough, Christianlov has announced on his blog that he wont update his mods for Apartment Life. They were updated for Freetime last summer, but that will be the last version.
I am currently playing my apartments with his excellent All-In-One and Nanny NPC:s, and have some findings. First, if you have an A-I-O NPC in an apartment, do switch off "Pay Bills", as she/he wont find the postbox to pay it. And keep doors "unlocked" to apartments, the A-I-O wants to clean all the apartments and is very annoyed when she can't go there. I also switch off gardening and repairs, as that will be taken care of by the landlord.
The CL Nanny seems to work fine.
I will update my CL NPC Instructions after some more playing, with some tips and tricks to make the NPC:s work smoothly. And as far as I have seen they work just fine in normal houses and on community lots. 14/11/2008
So I needed some recolors for Simlogicals New Bunkbeds, found here. ..And then I made some more, and more.. Download them and pick the ones you have use for. They match other Custom Content sets I use for the Gypsy Wagons, links and details provided on the Souvenirs page. 12/11/2008
At the moment I am doing some recolors - first one is a new recolor of the SimsDesignAvenue medieval stove and sink, in a lighter stone. I used the textures from the new set from Sims2 Store, called Castle.
I always wanted to add a recolor in a lighter stone. On the picture you can see how I placed the stove (which is 2 tiles wide) with move-objects-on so it "merges" with the fireplace.
More recolors to come, I am working on a set of recolors for Inge Jones new fantastic bunkbeds, utterly space saving in castles and gypsy wagons, find them here:
I will post the recolors in a couple of days, just need a bit of more testing and more pics in game. They will be available on the Souvenirs page.
Besides recoloring I am playing the families of the Castle, in houses now remade to be apartments. Its a lot of fun and I use the genious new mods for making the rent go to the Castle Owner, also invented by Simlogical, and found here:

Lord Ingvar returned to home, after his studies at St George faculty, Windle College, and decided to marry Lady Amanda Charleston. He choosed her from very practical reasons, they had chemistry and she seemed to be the strong, ambitious woman he needed on his side in the Castle. Lady Amanda is a money sim, and will surely see to the finances of the family. She has a background in the high society (and was one of the socialites spawned with AL, called aristocrats in my sim world). Lord Ingvar totally ignored the eight all fresh beautiful high society girls (eg special made for him in CAS) and picked Amanda as his bride.
|
Lord Ingvar maybe didnt fall in love fast, but he decided that Lady Amanda was the right woman anyway, and did not waste any time. The proposal took place in the ballroom at the Castle Main Building.

 The Bride |
 Cutting the cake. |
The Ceremony took place in the Castle Chapel, with the Castle Vicar, Christopher Ballard, as a host.
Lady Amanda is a strongminded and economical sim, she will not be easy to deal with.. |

The gossip about the sisters of the groom being not very friendly to each other, seems to be true. How can such lovely sisters hate each other so deeply?
Lord Ian was happy to see his son marry, he feels his time may be limited. Will he live to see an heir to the castle be born? |
A toast for the newlyweds! |
It was a beautiful fall with many nice days meeting friends in the Castle Park. |
